Day 1: September 30th.

Weight: I can only imagine I've done nothing but climbed up, up, up on the obesity scale! So I'm penning myself in at a solid 200 lbs.

Day 1:
So far, I've made it through breakfast and early morning yoga. Short. 15 minutes. Because when you've discovered a love of sleep after 30 years of fighting it off like it's a cancer, waking up at 5 a.m. is insulting.
Luckily, there are 15 minute yoga videos on youtube that aren't a complete joke.
To top off my healthy kick to the morning (eventually), I had my first of several smoothies for the week. Kale, mixed berries, keifur (because have you tried drinking it? HAVE you? I'm dry heaving thinking about it), a banana and some almond milk. It made a lot and it was VERY good. Surprising since I used to have to add a ton of something sweet to gulp down a large, less-than-attractive looking smoothie. So onward and upward!
 Next stop - salad lunch!

c.8:30 a.m.; I got extremely nauseous and had to sit it out in the RR. My body is already very angry with me.

9:44 a.m.: Waves of smaller nausea are coming and going. Luckily, not as intense. The inner toddler is quieting the fuck down!

11:15 a.m.: Lunch time! Yes! I'm having my salad but also some tomato bisque from the can of Amy's Organic Soups! I can't wait! Damn phone....

11:44 a.m.: I am eating lunch! Finally! And it is SO GOOD! I used some ranch dressing on my salad and some strawberry vinaigrette  and I know those have added sugars but it's a small step in that I can totally taste all the vegetables that make up the salad so hoorah! I forgot my yogurt so went ahead and had the whole can of soup which I will NOT regret! It is delicious! Amy....way to go!

3:30 p.m.: This is where I'll end. I'm going to go home. I'm going to work out. I'm going to eat a great dinner and I'm going to ignore the inevitable hunger pangs that will arise right before bedtime. SO, my only "slip" was a peanut butter/chocolate chip granola bar but only 100 calories so not the biggest slip I could have made! Hoorah! Tomorrow.....Day 2!

Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred: Day 1
Yes, I'm starting over. I almost made it all the way through but since I was completely sabotaging any progress by eating my way through several workouts in one sitting, I decided 'starting over' would include this workout series.
I....love...Jillian. I love her. She's a bad-ass. She's faced so much public scrutiny because, duh, she's famous and non-famous people will do almost anything to get famous. Including, but not limited to, denouncing the name of one of the biggest supports of healthy living I can think of. She's also ripped and hot as hell so that helps! No corny hair styles or unreasonable chalky-teeth grins in these workouts!
I started again with Level 1 and I'm sweating, which is a great sign. It feels really nice considering I think I'm battling an early cold so a bit of sweat helps immensely!
Okay, that's really it. It wasn't the hardest thing I've ever done and it won't be the hardest thing I do tomorrow. A-bientot (that's French; requires an accent bracket-mark above the 'o'; just deal)!
